The market ended the week with little movement and very low activity, sitting right around short-term technical levels that signal indecision. While the broader market was quiet, Intel gave traders something to pay attention to following its earnings call.
Management acknowledged supply issues and admitted past planning mistakes, while also highlighting losses in the foundry business as they wait for a large anchor customer before ramping spending. At the same time, silver made a surprising move higher as tight physical supply and strong demand continue to pressure inventories. That dynamic suggests the trend may have more room to run as the year unfolds.
