Market Volatility and Trade Tariffs—What’s Next?
Hey traders, Dan Passarelli here. If you’ve been following the markets, you know it’s been a wild ride. Last Friday, President Trump announced tariffs—25% on Canada and Mexico, and 10% on China—set to take effect tomorrow. But, a last-minute deal with Mexico has shifted the landscape.
The market opened sharply lower but recovered after news of the deal. Still, we’ve got ongoing trade tensions with Canada and China, and the EU is next in line. Expect volatility to continue.
China and Mexico are two of our biggest trading partners, so these developments will keep the market on edge. The Mexico deal is only delayed a month, and Canada remains unresolved.
On top of that we have earnings season, so this is shaping up to be an exciting trading week with plenty of volatility to capitalize on.
Trade smart, stay informed, and subscribe so you never miss an update.
