The company mines for uranium for fuel to power nuclear power plants. And they mine for certain minerals that are useful in nuclear reactors.
Some of these rare earth minerals are mined and processed at the same facility (in Utah). And they have other mines for uranium and other rare earths.
They mine for heavy mineral sand minerals like ilmenite, rutile and zircon. And they also mine for monazite concentrates that contain magnet rare earths like neodymium (Nd), praseodymium (Pr), dysprosium (Dy) and terbium (Tb).
Yep. They monetize monazite.
Many of the rare earths they mine have uses outside of nuclear power.
